Good gesture for my boyfriends mom or weird? Im 19 he\'s 20.?

Okayy soo I was supposed to meet my boyfriends parents, and I thought since he brought a cake over to my house the last time he came over I should do something and since it was Mother\'s day recently I thought it would be nice to get his mom a little something I got her a pink/orange single rose.. BUT my boyfriend came to my house instead so I just gave it to him to give it to her, he had no idea I did this and looked suprised/happyyy and kept saying how nice/sweet it was! & I should of told him I did this so I could of gave it to her but i didn\'t want to be pushyy I told him.. And he kept kissing me and telling me that he will have her call me but I saidd noo that it was okayy ill meet her next time. It was also her birthday too i didn\'t even kno so I thought maybe that was good too.. I just hope she see\'s where im comming from im a very loving, caring, giving girl. I lost my mother last year. Family means a lot to me and Im hoping she will like me. Opinions was this a good idea? Or weird.....
