Should I be happy or should I be upset at my boyfriend?

I met my boyfriend in the college that we attend together. He\'s a very considerate boyfriend. I love him because he\'s so nice to me. He puts me above everyone else. He\'s an american born asian guy. His parents are from vietnam. I\'m a first generation american arabic girl. My family was from lebanon. There are many asian girls and indian girls on our campus. He said that he\'s not attracted to them, but lately he bought me to indian and chinese dresses like sarees, choli, and chinese dresses. He wants me to wear those when we go out together on special occasions with is family and friends. I\'m not an asian girl. I\'m an arab. Does he really accept me for who I am or he\'s trying to make me becoming an asian girl to conform to his family expectation ?
